KwaZulu-Natal trans man Noks Simelane shared his transition on his YouTube channel and also highlighted challenges transgender South Africans face daily. The 22-year-old is from Pietermaritzburg has harnesses the power of online platforms, to be a voice of inspiration and information. Despite threats of violence and unending discrimination, he has openly spoken about his rooted personal experiences and also giving much needed advice and support to the transgender community, including those who are making the life changing decision to transition.
